The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is a state research institution with headquarters in Cologne. Over 10,000 employees work in 55 institutes at 30 various locations throughout Germany. The DLR operates applied and Basic research in the areas of aerospace, transport, energy, security and Digitalization.

 

The CGF Counsel Group Frankfurt AG (CGF), with its administrative headquarters in Untersiemau-Ziegelsdorf, is a medium-sized IT service company with over 100 employees worldwide. CGF stands for IT consulting and customized system architecture, software and service solutions. 

 

IMST GmbH (IMST) – an SME with around 160 employees – in Kamp-Lintfort has been involved in the system design and development of communication and radio systems, high frequency/microwave circuits, including radar technologies, antenna systems as well as simulation software and radio wave propagation for almost 30 years.

The Dortmund University of Applied Sciences (FHDO) is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia (approx. 15,000 Students for the winter semester 2020/2021, approx. €13,000,000 in third-party funding 2021) and in addition to the Bochum University and the Westphalian University are one of the three partners of the Ruhr Master School.
